Data rules

Editorial policy

A product profile must distinguish source facts, automated observations, editorial normalization, and owner-supplied information. Material claims show provenance and date, while unknown information remains unknown.

Sources and wording

  • Official websites, documentation, registries, and repositories receive direct links.
  • An automated observation describes only the checked endpoint and point in time.
  • Editorial copy simplifies language without adding unverified capabilities.
  • Owner-supplied data must receive a separate label once profile verification launches.

Independent signals

ATH Transparency Index follows the published formula. User Rating uses only eligible published reviews. News, commercial relationships, and owner status do not change either signal.

Corrections and disputes

An error report is checked against the source. If evidence cannot be confirmed, the claim must be removed or marked unknown; a material correction is recorded publicly.
